Hi Everyone
I'm Jo Bekis the founder of this networking forum, my aim is to help Schools, Teachers and Parents connect online in a safe and sociable environment. This is a great way to communicate effectively and with great speed. Reducing the strain on school resources and budgets. There are many ways in which you can use the interactive site, but if you need any more help, tips and advice just drop me an email.
I am also a Childrens Author and Illustrator. I have written a series of books and my publishers are based in New York. Its a very exciting time for me as my first book launch approaches.
Providing educational fun books with activities for both Parents and Teachers to use, in or out of School. A great way of keeping the little ones entertained. Its a life times ambition of mine to work in this sector. After missing out on my 1st chosen career as a Teacher, I've come back to what I love doing, helping young children learn and develop, in a fun way through play. And equally this site offers 'ALL' of us the opportunity to learn from each other by sharing good practice.
I hope that both Schools and Parents find this site useful and utilise it to it's maximum potential. It is free, I do not plan on making money out of the Education establishments, so there will be no membership fee. I just want to give something to 'OUR' children's education. This is that our Schools and Parents are the best resources a Child has, so please share you good educational practices with each other.
I love to hear from people, I'm a real people person. So if you have any suggestions for the website, just let me know. I will be posting on this website myself, so I am listening. I also plan to share my writting career with you, my news, my story and any forthcoming events. I also hope that my books will be published in the UK soon, but first I have to target my American market. Although I live and work in the UK my publishers are based in the US, but the good news is my book will be available from my publishers.
I very much believe and support reading to children, you will find a written blog on this and clubs which you are all welcome to join. I look forward to speaking to you on such club forums where we can chat and share our own experiences.
